OUR ORIGINS
Miriad has been trading within the leisure vehicle industry for over 35 years. The company has acquired an excellent reputation for quality and service. We are unique in our ability to supply leisure vehicle manufacturers, the UK and Irish dealership network, service centres and vehicle converters.
Our origins go back to Russell Sales Limited, formed in 1977 and operated as the UK agent for Polyplastic Caravan Windows. In 1983 we became a UK agent for Knott axles and couplings and then in 1986 also became the aftersales partner for BPW. The Company had very close links with all of the manufacturers and also provided support and aftersales to the dealer network.
MIRIAD IS FORMED
In 1997 Russell’s became the Agent for Truma GmbH and in 1999, just before Truma formed their own Company in the UK; the management team undertook a management buyout of Russell Sales and subsequently changed its name to Miriad Products Ltd. Michael (MI) Ham, Richard (RI) Toon and Dave (AD) Elson worked together for many years choosing the name MIRIAD for both its relevance to their individual names as well as their intention to supply a range or myriad of product to the caravan industry. Shortly after, Brian Croshaw, another long standing member of the team, was announced as the fourth Owner/Director.
The current Directors of Miriad joined the Company between 1987 and 1988 and thus have worked in the industry for many years. Michael Ham was the accountant, Richard Toon was a sales representative and Dave Elson started as a service Engineer and later became a technical sales executive.
The company’s owner-directors are all long-serving employees with a combined total of more than 80 years’ experience with the industry. This experience is combined and added to by the wealth of knowledge and skills that our loyal, also long-serving members of staff bring with them.
